I thought it was amazing!
Anyone see it?
nah. missed it? did it shed any new light on matters?
Charlie Brooker reviewed it here, and, as usual, he's right on the money.
It was a load of sensationalist balls, based on a simply absurd series of premises (most glaring that if the death penalty ever returns, it will only be for certain sorts of murder, pretty fucking obviously. And I actually laughed out loud when the voiceover said that 'EU legal officials have abandoned attempts to over-turn Gadd's sentence in the European Court after the British Government made it clear it would pull out of the EU' - a chillingly convincing scenario, I'm sure.)
The subsequent and extremely heavy handed caricature of anyone who believes in capital punishment as a white trash, thick, paediatrician-attacking mong did no service whatsoever to the clunkingly obvious agenda it was trying to hammer home. Drivel.
