Has anyone been watching this show on BBC2? Entertaining viewing, for all the wrong reasons of course! Not one single funny person on it, includng the so called 'comedy expert'...
2. avatar the_doctor199
Pretty poor tv show! My friends brother is on it, who is a really funny guy (I've seen his stand up show and it's very good) but he really doesn't come across all that well. I'd love to know where they found the two guys judging them though
3. avatar DuncanDisorderly
It should be prosecuted under the trades description act.
4. avatar thefonz
Northern Irelands version of the X factor except with wannabe comedians of course its gonna be crap, nearly as bad as RTE's efforts of talent/lets find a eurovision singer shows. Comedians are always funnier live than on tv anyway for some reason.

It is sad that almost every attempt at Norn Iron regional comedy on TV has me cringing.

...and don't get me started on that fecker Kielty. Grrrrrr.

Des from Newry FTW!

Haha! If he wins, I wonder will the council erect a statue of him outside the town hall, right next to Banjo Bannon's..
8. avatar edwin mcfee
If he does then we should have a "Newry Day" where him, BIG PAT JENNINGS, Banjo Bannon, the 4 of Us, Susan McCann, Leon and Huggy Baps can all have a wee parade up and down Hill Street and then we can all go to Timoney's for ice cream afterwards.
9. avatar huggy baps
Ha! Dont forget the obligatory 'shaking hands with a stone faced Charlie Casey' photo for the front of the democrat!

Ah well, even if he doesnt win, at least his ma thinks he's funny..
10. avatar edwin mcfee
Haha, I can see the headlines now-"Des Is A Right Fella, The Same Fella"

I'm actually a wee bit annoyed I'm missing tonight's show coz I'm going to THIS

My mate Marcus and another make JP were on it and I've seen a few of the others at places like McHughs and the Pavillion. They are funny people but I think the show picked the worst bits from the people they wanted to show as the crap fuckers.
12. avatar Dirty Stevie Grizz
..but they are all crap fuckers!

It is the worst/best tv show ever.
13. avatar The enfant terrible
They're better than the hole in the wall gang. Let's face it northern ireland is presented as being some wee shite sure stick the kettle on the boys are great crack bullshit. When it come to humour. Look at how misguided the harp adds were where they all slowly caught on that what some dicks consider crack is really just racist shite. Go and watch some of those people at a gig. Some of them are pretty funny.
14. avatar The enfant terrible
I'm typing this pished but what I'm saying is the BBC don't have the first fucking clue when it comes to this sort of shit. It was a load of balls and I feel sorry seeing some genuinely funny people made to look like cunts over another shite BBC balls up.

BTW I know there are some great folk on here working with the Beeb on the music side of things. I'm not commenting on that. I'm talking about the subject in hand. There are some genuinely funny people in the province and we're not all "fry me some soda, soupy camble is fat! ho ho ho." You're bound to feel a bit cheated when you see the folks on the hill. Fuck that.

Find Me the Funny's Sean Hegarty before he was famous:

He's the one in the white cape picking flowers.......

NI TV at its worst.

There are things we do well here, but this aint one of them.
17. avatar Dirty Stevie Grizz
He's no Mickey Bartlett!
18. avatar Gogs
I love this programme! It's total car crash television. Utterly mesmerizing shit.
19. avatar tinpot anto
It's utter genius the way the crap American comedy "expert" is such an unfunny dour-faced bastard throughout.

And he's effectively taking some fairly funny people, who'd be a good laugh in the bar, but are never going to make it in stand-up really, and making them feel completely self-conscious and awkward.

There were a load of awesome rockets in the auditions part, who were overlooked, pure genius.
20. avatar Orzo
This is going to drag out like Lost where it'll be the end of the series and they still wont have found the funny and people will just be pissed off.

I'm glad that woman was booted out, she was probably the worst out of the lot. Either way it doesnt matter as dessy will win..
22. avatar the_doctor199
Just noticed this is coming to the Ulster Hall..

[quote:14abb4a453]If you enjoyed the BBC`s Find Me The Funny, or even if you missed it, seize this opportunity to see the six sizzling stand-up comedians who stormed the Edinburgh Festival earlier this year.

Laugh your socks off with Aaron Butler, Des O`Gorman, Gemma Hutton, Mickey Bartlett, Sean Hegarty and Terry Keyes.[/quote:14abb4a453]
