whats the costs these days for a rehersal room per hour these days ranging from cheapest in price and variety of equipment offered?what should you expect for your money?do bands generally moan/beeatch too much and abuse rooms?discuss!.
£20 per hour or £80-100 a month seems normal.
Reasonable 8 channel PA, mics, and stands provided would be our only requisite.
[quote:2bb54f55cf="comprachio"]whoops - 4hrs i meant![/quote:2bb54f55cf]£20 for 4 hrs? Where are you gettin' that? It's been £25-£30 for 3 hrs everywhere I've been in the last few years.
yeah £30 a session which is generally 3-5hrs
100pm for a weekly band
and cheaper again for weekday daytimes and more than weekly bands
so £10 per hr with p.a,mics, stands, drumkit, amps, leads, guitars, pedals and anything else under the sun u might require is nowhere near expensive or daylight robbery ja? or are most musicians just tight fisted moaners who don't break the cost down etc and see what they get per hour divided among the average 4 member band?.
that question doesnt make sense
to me at least
me neither. and i'd suggest you bring your leads and guitars. and lay off the crack.
Yeah £10 per hour with P.A., mics, mic-stands, drumkit and amps. If you expect anything else you are [i:ac8e6cef9b]having a laugh[/i:ac8e6cef9b], as they say.

zebulon got what i meant, grammer natzi.all i asked was if it was a good deal for the price everything i mentioned....if not then why do bands moan so much etc.
bands dont really moan to me about pricing
We split a place with 4 other bands and pay 42 pounds a month.

yeah thats why i was asking in general pent...its a fair enough price £10 per hour....and with far more equipment on offer too......so i guess theyve no right to moan as its a good deal the practise room is offering.
does anyone have any contacts for a practice room in belfast , with reasonable equipment and decent enough price ? cheers jonnie

I second this request. I’ve been scouring this site and several others in search of an answer. If there are rehearsal rooms they seem to be a closely guarded secret. Gold dust. haha
should be open in late may/early june
Penthouse is full so not taking on any more bands
For anyone in the north west area/coleraine that require a rehersal room contact me via below to book......
We offer everything you need and conveniance to simply walk in to practise without needing to bring your own equipment, everything from drums, amps,p.a,mics and stands....and should you require guitars, leads, effects etc then we can do that too.Even if you happen to break a string or need batteries or drumsticks we have them too, everything is coverd.Plus if you require a rough cd recorded of your session for personal reasons then we can manage that too.
hope this helps and thanks to the regulars.
I've just used King St rehearsals and it was ok, no hassle and all the gear you need. The usual rate as well so it seemed fair.
