Komodo Studios is a recording studio in Northern Ireland's County Down and is home to producer Alwyn Walker. It is one part of the company Komodo Recordings which is a family business that also includes Komodo Image and MSB Mastering.

Komodo Image offers Band Merchandise (T-shirts, Hoodies, Bassdrum skins etc...) operated by Kyle Walker (who also teaches drums, having a degree from Drumtech, London)
MSB Mastering
MSB Mastering is a CD Mastering house operated by Darrell Walker. Nearly every production by Alwyn Walker has been mastered here.
The Studio
The studio is centered around a Mac Pro (quad 2.66) running ProTools HD (32 inputs). It is equipped with:
- mics by Neumann, Soundfield, AKG, Shure, Beyerdynamic, Blue etc...
- mic preamps by Neve, Audient, Focusrite, CLM dynamics, Mackie etc...
- guitars and basses by Ibanez, B.C. Rich, Washburn, Fender, Indie etc...
- guitar and bass amps by Mesa Boogie, Marshall, Ampeg etc...
- 2 drumkits (Mapex Orion Ltd edition, Tama Superstar Custom)
- keyboards and organs
- loads of FX and the usual studio toys for bands to play with
There is a relaxation room with TV/DVD/XBOX, a kitchen and a garden as the studio is situated in the countryside surrounding Hillsborough.
Accomodation
Bands recording at Komodo Studios have two main options accomodation-wise:
- Lakeside Caravan Park (cheapest and closest option)
This is situated only 3 minutes walk from the studio. Bands can rent a static caravan from owner Harold Reain. He is contactable on 02892 682 098 (or 04892 682 098 from ROI)
- Moydalgan Barn (self-catering house)
This is only a five minute drive from the studio. It is a two storey barn converted in 2004 to comfortable domestic standards and has a large car park. It is owned by Mrs. Elizabeth Smith who can be contacted on 02897 533 100 (or 04897 533 100 from ROI) or via email on barnATmoydalgan.wanadoo.co.uk
