Biography
Fighting with Wire (or FWW) are an alternative rock band from Derry. Formed in late 2003, the brainchild of guitarist Cahir O'Doherty (Jetplane Landing / Clearshot) and drummer Craig McKean (Clearshot). An idealistic bunch, they've since done what rock bands are meant to do: they wrote a bunch of songs, and took to the road. Noted as one of the more successful NI acts of recent years, they have supported many high profile bands such as Biffy Clyro, Kerbdog, You Me At Six, Nomeansno, inME, Brigade, Against Me! and Seafood. The band have also played at the 2008 BBC Radio One Big Weekend Festival and the Download Festival at Donington. After putting out a number of limited edition DIY singles, in early 2008 they signed a deal with Atlantic Records and released thier first Album 'Man vs Monster'.
