Armatage Shanks

Armatage Shanks came together in the summer of 2004 when guitarists David McGettigan, Ryan McConnon, and drummer Darren McCarra, introduced themselves in the blank corridors of a north Monaghan secondary school. As band members and months came and went, the band continued to develop their sound and experience of playing as a dynamic rock group. In September 2004, the bassist Shane Cheung joined the band, making Armatage Shanks as they are known today. A few guitar riffs and chords soon developed into their first song, Girl Called Kill, in late November. On the 8th of January 2005, Armatage Shanks showcased the results by playing their first ever gig in McKennas (The Brewery), Monaghan, to an eagerly anticipating crowd...
