The SONI - Rock'n'Roll Christmas show hits The Belfast Empire Music Hall on Wednesday 23rd December....the night before Xmas Eve, always good for a session!
Headliners LO MEJOR are quite simply one of the best bands in the country. Blinding bluesy rock'n'roll delivered with fabulous musicianship and bags of energy....vocalist Stevie Blues, formerly of Swanee River, is one of the finest frontmen around....their first Belfast gig in ages, not to be missed.....
Plus very special guests.....SWEET TASTE! Yep, they're back - the boys with the Aerosmith-esque groove and swagger left the stage a couple of years back....but what a way to announce their comeback. Good times rock'n'roll, perfect for a night like this....
Plus CROSS EYED MARY hitting the Empire stage for the first time in many moons....another band dealing in rock'n'roll, with an occasionally darker, sleazier edge to it....
The night will be kicked off by PHILIP MCCARROLL (yup, me) - the Pay*ola frontman will be back in the Empire for the first time since supporting Rich Robinson of The Black Crowes, playing an acoustic set of solo material & Pay*ola favourites.....
Doors 8.30pm, admission only £5 - plus special drinks promos all night!
