I would say this guitars not worth more than 700 or 800. Even vintage and rare aren't looking for that kind of money for this model guitar. Also it's not exactly known for being a John Lennon model. You might want to rethink your ad and where you're selling it. I've seen plenty of guitars actually worth around 2k fail to sell on this site.

this is true. on an unrelated note, i have a little tuner. good tuner, it can tune to any note. only looking £500 if anybody is interested?
[quote:3575d9c586]They aren't rare at all..they are constantly on ebay and always sell for an average of £400. One sold a few weeks ago for around £130. Bearing that in mind I'll give you £200 for it [/quote:3575d9c586]
This is also true. Old hofners seem to be quite popular here, they were probably imported here long before fenders were. unfortunately for chaps like yourself, TBC, there isn't really any demand for an old hofner. If that was a 58 P bass, or a 58 tele, you probably would have gotten more than £2500. If i was you, i would hang on to it for a while, it could become more valuable in the future.

tbh,if someone wants to pay through the nose for something thats up to them.people will do their research before parting with their hard earned readys.looks like a nice wee guitar but i wouldnt pay anywhere near what you're looking but if you find someone that does then fair enough
