Alex Jones shuts his yap about 2.30 to finally let his guest talk.
Oh god, you're not one of these conspiracy nuts are you?
We are everywhere Gared, with a conspiracy of our own.
Gibson should be raided over the shoddy workmanship of their recent guitars! That woeful Firebird X deserves to be wiped from the face of the Earth as well!

Have you seen the new Melody Maker range? Instead of endangered rosewood, the fingerboards are made from burnt maple. (Well, "torrefied" or "heat-treated" they say.)
Apparently Kafka wrote 1984?
This guy Jones is a fucking numpty all things considered.
I agree Ouroboros, that Firebird X should be put in front of a firing squad,
along with the new Melody Maker range and Alex Jones.

Like the Spanish "torrefacto", I suppose: roasted, as in coffee. I wonder if they're claiming any acoustic benefits or is it just a blatantly cosmetic thing. I'd be very surprised if it makes the maple sound or feel any more like rosewood. Light charring tends to harden wood slightly, which I would imagine is the opposite of what you'd need to do.
Then there's the all-maple "raw power" Pauls and SGs. That's just horribly wrong.
