    Hello

I wrote a song with the influence of Leonard Coen and Monster Magnet. I would really appreciate your opinions on it as it is a bit of a weird mix. It can be found at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G1fWbta_1LI
    Thanks

Audio is terrible, I can't hear the song because of the wind.

I know, the curse of playing outside. Thought it added a cool effect though. Thanks for listening.

The wind appears to have been added afterwards. The vocals are too clean and too defined to have been recorded with that camera mic and they have a different reverb than they would with that wind. Same with the guitar.

The wind doesn't add a cool effect. It just sounds silly.

Is the leonard co[b:6515e0def3][u:6515e0def3]h[/u:6515e0def3][/b:6515e0def3]en influence just that you sang in a lower register?

Yeah, pretty much. Thought I'd try a different vocal register to my own. Gonna re-record it without wind at some point. The clear vocals were added after as the original vocals were not really picked up and reverb was added to the master track. The wind does kinda sound silly. Sort of wish I waited for a better recording before I put it up. As always though, too keen to show people it than wait for a decent recording. At least most of the wind is just at the start ;) Any comments of the song itself? Love to know what you think of the composition etc Thanks

Graham Linehan on script writing: Put the script away for a bit. Forget about it, don't be tempted to read it, work on something else. Then, after, say, three weeks, read the script again. You'll see very clearly what works and what doesn't.

I think it might be applicable here too. Don't rush to get something out, it's blatantly obvious when you do. I'm speaking from experience as well.
