I like it, the quality of the recording is poor though, guitars sound very muddy and vocals are lost in the mix here and there, I read on the MySpace that this was recorded at a studio, to be honest i'd not have been very happy if we came out soundling like that after paying money. It's a shame as the music is brutal.

Yeah, I like it too, though I'm not sure about the sub-Hetfield [i:bd730883f7]singy[/i:bd730883f7] vocals.
I kind of half expected the vocalist to slip in a [i:bd730883f7]yeeaah[/i:bd730883f7] after every line, so reminiscent are they of the bear murderer's Black Album era vocals.
You guys are certainly a tight unit.
Frankie did a great job with the drums.Even on my crappy laptop they cut through. Were they triggered or acoustic ?
From what I can make out the guitars are smooth too. Straight miking from cabs or pod/simulator/plug-in?

[quote:89f90127a0]Going to for 3 or 4 days this summer to record our EP and have it released by july or august 2011[/quote:89f90127a0]

I've not listened to you, nor am I going to cos you're on myspace, but does it really take a year to mix and master an EP, or would you not be better off waiting to record it at (for example) Easter time next year and rehearsing and writing better material?

I've listened to a bit of that again following salfahl's comments and I'm wondering if we're listening to the same recording.
I think both drums and guitars sound crisp and sharp, again a laptop isn't the best medium to properly listen, but it sounds fucking great to me so far.

    What's the story with Myspace?

It [i:c892c22cda]is[/i:c892c22cda] a bad thing(sounding like Hetfield) because apart from the fact that he's a complete cunt, it smacks of imitation, but the rest of the growly vocal has potential for that genre.
    I liked it.
    Mostly.

I think it sounds cool. Reminds me of 'The Haunted'. Remember them? Though in parts I do agree that it sounds like Hetfield has joined in. Considering it was recorded in a day or whatever... Nice one!

I had another listen back, at the start of "Salvation", the guitar kicks off nicely then at 0:07 another one kicks in at a hugely different level and tone.

I'm listening through headphones, to me the guitars generally sound a little to bassy, but to be fair, I might just be being a massive kunt. =D

The drums are tight as fuck.

Also wouldn't worry about they Hetfield, I don't really hear that at all.

BTW not being negative, just listening to it and wishing it was recorded professionally cus it sounds cless.

    Yeah, good luck.
Change the name though, too many syllables and it sounds like a mid-eighties 'OI!' band.

Wondering how salfhal can't possibly hear Hetfield in the singy bits.
It jumps right out at you immediately.
  18. avatar psychoticdisorder
yeah :L its not hard to miss
  19. avatar salfhal
If you're talking about the singy bit in salvation, I kinda get it on the last word "liiiggght" or something, but it's just the way he has feathered the vocal at the end, tons of singers do that like. To be honest I thought he sounded more like the dude from Ozzmium.

In the other song the vocals sound a bit like the dude from Billy Talent, but neither in a impersonation type way.

played with PD in portrush last week, big beefy riffs and tight as a ducks arse

    great bunch of lads

    looking forward to hearing more

if you aint happy with the quality you could always go back to frankies when you save up the pennies and spend another day mixing/mastering it.

Salfhal, was speaking to Big Frankie there and telling him about the bit of stick your giving his recordings! He said that if you wish, your more than welcome to come up to his studio, re-record the 3 tracks and mix the whole lot in 1 day just to see how ya fair out! The band wanted it done as cheap as, and ya get what ya pay for! I think it sounds great myself but im sure you can do better biglad.

    Hey guys,

All the previous comments (which have been deleted) were posted by one of our guitarists, without the permission or knowledge of the rest of the band.

We all knew that these songs were purely rough recordings, and that should have been made clear from the start. We will be going back into the studio to get these tracks properly recorded in the near future.

Frankie did a great job for the amount of time avaliable, and the way that we rushed him through the tracks. We would be more than happy to work with a man of his talents again.

Thanks to everyone for the feedback, we really appreciate it.

I didn't give any stick! Fuck me. The first I heard the recordings I had no idea who recorded it, how long the process was.

Tell Frankie that you took comments out of context, and made an issue where there was none =]

If you read the post above, you'll find that the MySpace merely stated that it was recorded in a studio. Not that it was a day in a studio job.

For a single day's work, it sounds pretty brilliant.

Why would you bother making the studio engineer feel like a dick, for comments that were based on very little information?

    Hey guys,

All the previous comments (which have been deleted) were posted by 1 of our guitarists, without the permission or knowledge of the rest of the band...he let slip private conversations, that werent even final descisions.

Also Frankie did a great job for the amount of time avaliable, and the way that we rushed him through the tracks. So there should be nothing to tarnish Frankie's reputation!

Thanks to everyone for the feedback, we really appreciate it.

    Err... Chill?

Everyone thought the music was awesome.
He managed to convince a few of us to come see you.
He made your MySpace available to people who had never even heard of you before.

Seems a little drastic to delete all of that?
