Anyone know decent free music notation software, preferably with guitar tab support. OSX or Linux preferred

I'd tried Senor Staff and it sucked, and I couldn't find a decent editor for Lilypond and it didn't do tab. But the Finale demo looks perfect, I'll give it a try tomorrow. cheers.

I only have lilypond installed on my system because I use rosegarden occasionally, and it uses lilypond internally to render music notation. (Rosegarden has a GUI notation editor built in.)

The install file for lilypond says "LilyPond supports many forms of music notation constructs, including chord names, drum notation, figured bass, grace notes, [b:f820089a4c]guitar tablature[/b:f820089a4c], modern notation (cluster notation and rhythmic grouping), tremolos, (nested) tuplets in arbitrary ratios, and more."

yeah, but as I said above, all the lilypond editors are arse, and frankly to write out 5 scores I don't want to learn some obscure language that has 101meg of documentation.

I'll try out the Finale demo later and see if its any better.
