EDIT: Damn, beaten to it;)

Whoops. I meant 10 years ago, after Californication which I quite liked.

Yeah, he was daft to hang on while they became one of the biggest touring bands on the planet who also sell millions of records.

What an idiot!

Yeah, but he's lost all his street cred.

The only bands that will have him now are most likely to be Green Day, Snow Patrol or U2.

With a bit of luck they'll split up.

THE MUSIC HATING BASTARDS.

Despite being regarded as a little out of place, one hot minute was a fantastic album. I'm hoping that they hook up with Josh and release an album that breaks the trend that their last two records set. I'm fairly happy about the situation - I love JF's solo material, and although my favourite chili's albums feature frusciante, I have no faith that they could release anything truly credible as that line up again.

Street Cred - the one thing guaranteed not to put food on the table, or heroin in your arm. A worthless, pointless commodity.

Good job, the only RHCP album that is any good is 'One Hot Minute'
15. avatar Mr.Coneman
They replaced Hillel Slovak, I'm sure they can replace John Fruciante.
16. avatar palrub
you're missing the point - no new guitarist can assuage fears that kiedis' lyrics are parasyllabic rhyming nonsense post-californication and won't improve. seriously, Steak knife. Card Shark. Con job. Boot cut? mother's milk or one hot minute please.

And Kings of Leon. And The Killers. Those are his options.

Plus [i:40722721e0]One Hot Minute[/i:40722721e0] is definitely the best one (I think)
19. avatar POSITIVExYOUTH
I agree. Plus, it might be clichéd, but Aeroplane is a fucking tune.

As much as what I do admire John Frusciante within the Chili Peppers, I'll still maintain that One Hot Minute is by far their best album.

I think it would have been even more suprising anyway if Frusciante had stuck around for the next chili peppers album. But now obviously with yet *another* guitarist due to feature, surely its a return to normality isnt it? circa Chad smith's witty comparison of the Chilis to Spinal Tap.

Josh Klinghoffer is replacing him. It's gonna be interesting.

I think John's solo stuff is amazing, and understand why he wants to concentrate on it.

To be honest Blood Sugar Sex Magik is my favourite album, but i've wouldn't say they've made any bad albums..

Anyway.. I can't wait for the new Chili's album.
