SO:NI in Lisburn Presents...
Hague's Bar, Lisburn (Chapel Hill)
Thursday 26th November

SO:NI in Lisburn on the last Thursday of every month!
Promoters [b:e16d17b49e]SO:NI [/b:e16d17b49e](Sounds of N.I) continue their fine run of monthly showcase gigs in Lisburn, with another excellent 3-band line-up in Hague's Bar on Thursday 26th November. The SO:NI shows take place in the Chapel Hill venue on the last Thursday of each month, and have been attracting great crowds - and fulfilling a much needed role for live music in the city.
Headlining the show are [b:e16d17b49e]Invinyl[/b:e16d17b49e] – a quality indie-rock outfit who have recently “come back stronger”. The Lisburn 4-piece originally split up over 3 years ago, despite having built up a fine live reputation and following, but core members (and brothers) Elliott and Jonny McCutcheon recently returned to writing duties and recruited a fine new rhythm section. Since returning to the gig scene, reactions to the new line-up and material have been fantastic – and the lads are very much looking forward to this hometown headline show for Invinyl mark 2!
Also on the bill is [b:e16d17b49e]Nasa Assassin [/b:e16d17b49e]– a brand new and highly mysterious group with a truly massive, crunching sound, and band members masquerading under such names as “Astro Monk” and “Nebula Qabala”! Despite the mystery though, word has it that some of the Lisburn based members of this group previously played in much missed outfits Superskin and Fisto - guaranteeing a seal of quality, and a massive groove!
Kicking off proceedings will be [b:e16d17b49e]Satsuma[/b:e16d17b49e] - a brand new alternative-rock outfit with a quirky, eclectic sound - featuring Lisburn man John Spence on vocals and making their SO:NI debut. They will be promoting their debut E.P on the night.
Doors for the show open at 8.30pm, and admission is still a steal at £3.50! A friendly, upbeat atmosphere is always guaranteed. SO:NI are always on the lookout for new acts from the area - anyone interested in playing should visit www.myspace.com/onesonimusic
Citizens of Lisburn and surrounding areas, we will soon be among you. Don't forget your tin foil hats. That is all.
Tonight! First band on stage shortly after 9, so get down early!
