Tomorrow night (Friday 20th November) Albrecht's Pencil and Isobel Anderson will be playing a super secret livingroom show at 12 Ashley Avenue off the Lisburn Road (across the road from Ryans). The gig starts at 7pm so get there swiftly to get a good spot.

This is all in association with Bandwidth Films so you can check out more details on their site: Bandwidth Films.

In the meantime check out this recently recorded Bandwidth offering of Albrecht's Pencil performing 'Thought Police' in the QFT, with Ingmar Bergman's Wild Strawberries projected in the background.

I have to say these secret shows are getting less secret as time goes on.

    Quiet, people will hear you.

Truly secret shows are a luxury which can realistically only be afforded to bands who are famous enough for a horde of fans to show up at the slightest sniff of a show or sighting.

We have to improvise with the format... by ridiculing it!

A secret show with a nicely made up poster!

Yeah i guess we didn't really think about the fact that we wouldn't be properly advertising it.

That should've been on the poster.

    Review is already written!

"Albrecht's Pencil kicked off the gig by descending from the ceiling while playing the saxophone and doing the Madness Nutty Dance. Joined on stage by Jim Morrison, Bono and Demis Roussous, the band climaxed with a shredding rendition of 'Cry of the She-Demon', as flames burst from the performers' dalek-shaped codpieces and their guitars ascended, clashing like dueling lightsabres."

    Thanks, invoice inc.

What about Isobel? She was/is supporting, doesn't she get a rave review too?

    Entries on a postcard please...

Here's a video to get you in the Albrecht's mood. The gig probably won't be like this..

Make sure you get dressed first this time Niall.

This is TONIGHT folks so if you're heading out later why not come to the gig beforehand, it promises to be as awesome as your tiny minds can handle.

When Bandwidth were polling for locations, I did consider offering up my living room. But I live too far out from Belfast. And I also thought better of the prospect of having hordes of crazed Albrecht's Pencil fans in my house, having drugs and doing sex and such. As usual.
