where in belfast can one still buy cassette tapes? i want to make some tapes for my mummy's car because the ones she has are dreadful.

    suggestions which will be ignored:
    1) buy cassette tapes online
    2) get one of those adapter things
    3) let her keep listening to her dreadful tapes
    4) go look yourself
    5) check out the brothers movement

    thanks

    Charity Shops!

I've picked up such classics as the Eurythmics Savage and some Rowan Atkinson comedy. Also got a Prince album, but it got eaten by the player, sad times.

No idea about blanks though, sorry Niall.

I would be fairly sure Tescos still do blank cassettes.

i made a hearty selection of tapes for a girl into whose pants i was trying to get in 2005 (hiya!) and that took traipsing round a whole bunch of different tescos, so i'd imagine the number of tescoses wot still stock them are now even fewer.
man that's an awkward sentence. i'm out of fastfude-practice.

I'd second the charity shops suggestion, most of them aren't that bad quality :)

Aside from that, I've found nine (blank+unopened) Sony tapes; I can spare you five, if you're out of luck. I'd like to keep a couple because I get impulses to make mixtapes, but not as many as nine. :P

I'm pretty sure I've got more blank tapes than that, but those are the ones I can find for now. Thanks, Woolworths sales!

Well, the bigger Tescos still do sell them. Most if not all HMVs still sell them too, even though at a slightly higher price than Tesco. Also, think that most of them weird wholesale sort of places that sell all sort of junk do sell them (at least, the one in Coleraine does), if you know what I am talking about.

On a side note, I still do think that the whole mixtape trading culture should start up big time once again.
