Check out our myspace to hear a couple of new songs from our upcoming album.

[b:64b8bad8c4]Guardian[/b:64b8bad8c4] is set to be the opening track and sees us finally getting around to using some drum-kit, and in [b:64b8bad8c4]Chestnut Trees[/b:64b8bad8c4] we gathered a merry band of our mates to play string parts (look out for them at the end of the song).

We're uploading these as a preview to the album so all opinions/criticsm, good or bad is welcomed.

I heard you play Guardian at your Common Grounds* show a few weeks back. That weekend I went onto your Bebo and Myspace pages to see if you had a recorded version, you didn't then but you do now so I'm very happy. It's a great song, the last 50 seconds are the reason I'll listen to that song over and over. They are both great recordings. I like your band because (to me) you sound different than everything else so keep up the good work!

*The Common Grounds claim to have the best brownies in Belfast, at this time I haven't had any reason to dispute this.

Cheers for the words Pete, is it you who helps run the unit 13 skatepark by the way (I know it's one of you guys from DT)? Just made it down there for the first time a couple of weeks ago, really nice little set-up, gonna try and get down more often from now on.

Chestnut Trees is gorgeous, that piano part is a nice sample of a ridiculously famous classical piece which name escapes me at the minute. The way the strings fall in is lovely. I think it would be really nice if there was a cello part from the start, personally. Good stuff.

Cheers man, the classical piece we're sampling/changing is in fact "Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy" from Tchaikovsky's [i:40c8e6d999]Nutcracker[/i:40c8e6d999], except we've turned it kind of major instead of it's normal minor key.

Haha, just read that back and it sounds pure melt, awesome.

Pete, sorry for the confusion, I'm terrible with names. Haven't seen you guys properly (playing) since that time downstairs in McHugh's. Will have to get down to another show sometime soon!

I always forget the name of that piece, always.

Even though I played it in one of my Grade exams, perhaps I repressed it from my mind because it was abysmally performed by yours truly..

Suppressed memories of grade exams you say?

I know the feeling. Some things are best forgotten.
