Have had this wee guitar for couple of years and it served my needs well but time for a change methinks and just wanna see what folk out there would be willing to trade at this stage. Id note they no longer make these 1963 re-issue guitars and are hard to come by.
Its a Firebird VII in Cardinal red, engraved gold epiphone tailpiece and Maestro tremelo and 3 gold mini humbuckers.
These guitars have a very unique sound somewhere between a strat and a full humbucker guitar. It is very versatile as it gives the abiity to mix volumes from each pickup together with the others to create a whole new palette of sounds when switched in middle position of 3 way switch.
For a good idea of how my guitar looks and sounds watch this (although it aint me its same guitar)
Please PM with any possible trades. Dont really know what im looking for at the moment but would consider most electric guitars on their own merit.
ID BE VERY INTERESTED ESP IN A VARIAX MAYBE THE 300 OR 500 MODEL. ID ALSO THROW IN CASH IF SOMEONE WANTTED TO P/EX A VARIAX 700
not the same guitar, might be same model but not same guitar.
£300 is incrdeibily cheap for his guitar especially due to the fact this version aint made anymore. Apparently people were buying the Epiphone instead of the Gibbo full price version. Think all Epiphone do now is a crappy studio version for £300 which has humbuckers and a stop tailpeice not the mini humbuckers and Maestro tailpeice. These VII models are also better built as they were manufactured in the older Epiphone plant and not from the Chinese factory where they are churning out inferior quality stuff these days.
