So I´m in Spain right now getting burnt and eating mamoth amounts of paella, but if you want to inject a little acoustic sunshine into your world, come down to Auntie Annie´s on Tuedsay night for Up In The Attic
We´ll have Maguire & I, The Sons of Robert Mitchum and Amy McGarrigle´s as yet untitled project for you. It will all be delightful.
3 pounds, doors 9pm.
See you there*
Sweet - intrigued by new-Amy-band-ness, and Maguire & I blew me away when I played with them at Common Grounds.
Free tunes from Sons of Robert Mitchum and Amy available there too.
And with the presence of the Sons Of RM, I won't be the only geriatric in attendance. Win-win-win.
I'll give a wee stress that the tunes on the last.fm are not the tunes we'll be playing on Tuesday. Really its a completely new project.
Really looking forward to this. Havent played in moons and havent seen Maguire in an age and never seen sons...
As much as some people may wish the title to be true,[b:d23d70ea29] A[/b:d23d70ea29] will not be making a come back to aunt annies. Sorry to break the news folks. Maybe I'll get a few of the guys to bleach their hair and pull a pout. [img:d23d70ea29]http://www.100xr.com/100_XR/Artists/A/A/A-band-2005.jpg[/img:d23d70ea29]

did they all go back to their jobs at starbucks then?
"Nothing" was a monster single for me, but I hated the fact you could never reliably search for their tunes on LimeWire. Might as well call your band *.*. Stupid character limit...
I'd love an extra good crowd in Annie's, as these are some splendid bands, so if anyone's gonna go and their friends need any persuading to come along, PM me and I'll get some guest list places sorted.

Me too! Massive riff + synthy bits = win

Any chance of listage pour moi? Just made redundant :-(
Aye, and I'm Stevie's friend but because of a bad cough need a little extra persuading to come along... Guestlist please?

Surely. Probably the best line-up in town to get you down to and then over the ol' nadir you get after a lay-off.
Katya's in for free and all.
got the oul stage times, John? Don't wanna miss out!
Amy + band - 9:30pm
Sons of RM - 10:15pm
Maguire & I - 11:00pm
Last night's gig was a reminder of why I deal with all the stress of running these nights - it was fantastic.
Thanks to all the bands and everyone who came down but especially to Katya and the two folks from Maguire & I who kept me company on the door.
Thanks all who came along. See you in two weeks for Uber Glitterati, Nakatomi Towers and The Flora, The Fauna!
Yeah very good night, great crowd, top music. Wish I'd caught a bit of Amy's new band, sounded interesting
That was a rad gig!
Skunk Patrol (Or the Amy McGarrigle ordeal, I haven't decided yet) were excellent - a great mixture of different kinds of songs, a top band, and the return of one of the best singers out there. Once they find their feet, they'll be unstoppable.
Sons of RObert Mitchum were interesting and entertaining, and entirely responsible for me humming 'Red RIght Hand' all night.
Maguire and I - no idea. I got a bit tired, and had to go home.
So there you go.
I took some not-very-good photos
