This may or may not be a figment of my imagination but at some point quite a few years ago, did Harp release it's own flavoured crisps or 'cola' bottle style sweets?
Also, did anyone actually like that Breo crap that Guinness made?
They did release Harp flavoured sweets - but I think you can still get them under the guise of "Beer Bottles"
That stuff Guinness had out was good gear ... as was Caffreys on draft - but thats now as rare as Rocking Horse crap!
Didn't see the Harp sweets, but I remember many a year ago sitting in Katy Daly's drinking free Breo. They were trying to promote it with one free pint per customer. I've never seen so many hat/shirt/trouser/beard swapping
saying that.. I don't remember particularly liking it all that much!
I remember the harp flavoured crisps - it was actually an april fools joke advertisement. think it was in the Belfast telegraph. Fooled me. but then again so did the news story in the Tyrone Courier a good few years back saying they were going to turn Ann st. in Dungannon into a Toll Road...
Breo? No thanks! Caffery's though that was great on tap! ANyone like Boddingtons? Tell me this though - Barry McGuigan's Nettle Flavoured Crisps? Did I make this up?
There was Guiness Marmite a few years ago. Amazing.
I liked Breo.
I remember Barry McGuigan crisps, and I remember they were some mad flavour. don't remember what Nettle tasted like though
Yeah I thought i was right! Those crisps really packed a punch! (sorry...GROAN)
Mauds Ice-Cream had Guinness flavor for a while -they also tried to make garlic but it ended up blowing some of their machines up for some reason
I believe the crisps were 'stinging jab' flavour. I think. I remember having a packet in primary school and the flavour quite offending my teacher.
Thank fuck for this thread, people always think I'm making it up when I mention those nettle flavour crisps. Now I got some kinda evidence at least.
I remember quite liking them.
I always thought Caffreys was keek though.
