Penguin People Presents –
A Salute to the Silver Screen
Saturday 6th June
Waterfront Hall Studio
Celebrate the stars of the silver screen with a dazzling evening of cabaret, music and burlesque capturing the magic of those iconic movie moments.
Penguin People presents an Oscar-winning night of frolics, fun and film, paying tribute to those marvellous movies you know and love.
Among the stars of the show are the fabulous Burlesque Belles, triumphant in Cirque de la Nuit, performing stunning routines from Chicago and The Producers; Star Bar will amaze high above the stage with their aerial homage to 007; Sister Spin brings her own style to those Kung Fu movies that inspired Quentin Tarantino; the great musicals from the fifties and sixties are given a modern spin by dance and cabaret stars Diana Bolical and Missy Bunny.
Live music for the interlude is provided by the astounding Black Sookie, described as “Ed Wood and Bugsy Malone dancing the Charleston”. This evening they will be performing their homage to the master of alternative cinema Mr David Lynch.
Cabaret style seating and tables is guaranteed in the Circle Balcony with VIP waitress service. The ground floor stalls bring you up close with the show, with limited seating at tables available on a first come, first served basis
Tickets include free entry to the Fabulous Footwear contest, so slip on your sexiest sandals and stroll straight on down to The Studio at the Waterfront Hall, on Saturday 6 June 2009.
