Work Placements: We’re offering two long term voluntary positions this year. The candidate must be available from May until the end of July and will work with us on the planning, promotion and implementation of trans and Urban Arts Academy. As we expect demand for these positions to be high, we will be holding informal interviews at the beginning of May. If you are interested in applying for a work placement, please e-mail Quigleya@waterfront.co.uk with a CV detailing your experience and interests.

Festival Volunteers: This year we are recruiting all of our festival volunteers through the trans Event Management course. Volunteers are able to ‘earn’ back the course costs (£60) through voluntary work at the festival. The Event Management course and hands-on experience gained through volunteering at trans provide an invaluable base of both theoretical and practical experience. In short, we’re offering world-class training in exchange for your time. If you are unable to cover the initial £60 fee for the Event Management course, a bursary may be available. To apply for the bursary, please e-mail us to let us know why you believe you are suitable for the bursary and what qualities and experience you feel you could bring to trans as a volunteer.

Willowstone are looking for enthusiastic people to help out before and on the day of the festival. There's a chance to gain experience in all areas of festival management and opportunities also exist to help out backstage working with the tech team. Bruised Fruit are hosting a Volunteer Information Day TOMORROW (Sat 9th May) from 1-3pm in the Spring & Airbrake, Belfast. Representatives from both festivals will be there to offer information and answer any questions you might have. So if you are interested in finding out more about these opportunities, come on down!
