Had all that was dear to me in the world bar my guitars stolen from me on Monday night after our house got burgled and trashed! would love to see the scummy bastards caught and kneecapped, if anyone comes across anyone trying to flog an SHARP AQUOS 32inch LCD TV, a PS3, a psp or Sony Hd camera (belongs to Queens Uni) it may well be stolen, please contact me...

anyone know if there are places where stolen goods in belfast might get sold off?
  2. avatar nonlogic liam
Cash Converters - near the Northern Whig, or Smithfield market. What area were you burgled in?

Sorry to hear about that, its so annoying when some fuck robs you, happened me a while back and the police knew who it was too
On an off chance, if you have any serial numbers, from the electronic goods, it'll be a lot easier to prove they were yours.
These numbers will be on the boxes, or receipts, or were on the back of the units too if you managed to get the note of them.
Also, keep an eye on gumtree belfast, cragislist or any other classified sites.
    good hunting bro

3rd Burgarly I've heard of this week...last two were on the isburn Road...utter balls.

    Good luck.

Always beats me how the little sh1ts manage to steal and move something like a 32inch TV out of someone's property, along the street and back into whatever wretched hive of scum and villainy they come from, completely unseen.

Hope you get your stuff back but I'm sure the worst hing is knowing the scumbags were all over your house.

How are they managing to get in? Do they break windows? kick in doors?

I had a case full of CDs lifted from my flat in the Holylands about 9 years ago now. It included a ton of hard to get stuff and promo cds. Guess what turned up in the place in Smithfield with the miserable bleached blonde woman running it? Unsurprisingly enough we came to an arrangement, rather than me calling in the police and a potential 'handling stolen goods' rap.

    Best of luck.

Interesting. I am correct in thinking that anyone that sells anything to her must produce a passport or driving licence so she can take the number of it? Making burglar tracking quite easy you would think..?

Dunno what your 'arrangement' was with her but I'd have called the rozzas straight away and watched her fry.

Dunno if its relevant folks but today i saw a cop van outside smithfield packing loads of 'gear' into the back of it some of it included guitars and playstations etc

Maybe - just maybe - its some of the pruck that got lifted off here.

lets hope so. i just passed by like but guitars were seen to be some of the items they had collected.
  12. avatar Sir Bob Gelding
I walked with my CDs. Simple.

Getting a PS3 or an Xbox nicked is a long way from having yer guitar theived. Still, I hope they fry the shits. I'll keep em peeled for ya Don, good luck!

Once again - how are they getting into peoples houses? Is there anything we can do to be more secure?
  17. avatar unplugged
A lock only keeps an honest man out.

I honestly really dread to think what i would do if I came home and i caught anyone climbing in my window. its my fucking house and your not allowed in it.

"Excuse me sire but i think you are trying to enter the wrong premises?"

    As if.

I have a deadlock on my music room but again if they want in they will smash the door in.
Luckily guitars are awkward to make a getaway with and most thieves avoid them

Funnily i just invested in a good alarm system which i am puting in this weekend but again that only does so much

when we got done, they came in through the bathroom window. one guy has locked his bedroom door, but i had left mine open. they bust through his door. his room was left in more of a state than mine.

Reminds me of what happened to my Mums friend a few years back. A burglar broke into her house, fell down her stairs and broke his leg and successfully sued her for damages to the tune of 2000.

Eh? You got to shag her rather than get the police to nick the theives?
I say, was that really ethical?

That just sounds like an friend-of-a-friend-of-a-friend urban legend to be honest. Unless there's more to the story than you're telling us.

Look its true - i know the guy - he was married the woman who used to put her hair up in a bun and never washed it for years. And a cockroach got into the bun and ate its way into her head. Its true you know.

    Come on.
I really cant see someone trying to claim whilst robbing someones house.

Firstly if you BROKE/FORCED your way into a premises and fell down the stairs then you wouldnt get a penny id bet. If the door was open and he walked and and could prove he had nature and reason to be in the dwelling and that the stairs caused his fall then maybe he would have a miniscule chance of a claim.

    URBAND LEGEND AT ITS BEST.
