Get in. This year's turning out to be pretty good for gigs. Here's hoping their latest album isn't crap though.

If the tickets are not priced ridiculously high (which I assume they will), it will most certainly sell out.
  5. avatar the_doctor199
I think tickets are £35, will confirm that later. Id expect this to sell out no bother, even with their new shite single

I wouldnt think that it will be [i:ba6b22b176]really[/i:ba6b22b176]fast as in a day or anything as their new track is just out and their new album isnt out for a few weeks, so I would probably say a few weeks.

    £40?

They can shove it up their arse. Whoever is willing to spend that much money for Green Day is possibly an idiot.
  20. avatar Baronation
For £41.50 I expect to see The Ramones brought back to life, The Offspring, Blink 182, Social Distortion, The Adolescents, The Go Go's, Andrew WK, Iron Maiden, Elastica and a reformed Madge.
  21. avatar himynameissween
i saw them in milton keynes a few years back and i think the tickets, plane AND taxi fare cost 40 quid total. this is a fucking rip.

having seen them before and after they sucked, i can safely say im not going near this with a barge pole. unless there is crew work going for it.

    and even then, MAYBE.

If I were going to this I'd probably get a little drunk and shout at all the plebs around me (over a certain age of course), wondering where they were when they played the Ulster Hall etc etc, or some skip somewhere. Unfortunately I don't like Green Day, if only because I hate the way Billy Joe does that 'make face with eyes bulging whilst singing during a video close up', like all pop punkers since about 1994.

No need to worry, Green Day are soooo 2005 anyway.

    Grenday are so 1989!

I got givenb my first Greenday record when i was in Primary 3! A Cassette of Dookie, since then ive loved what they do...

So what i they "sold out" Fair play to them

and sooo what if there is a pile of wee emo kids there who have never heard some anything except American Idiot

Ile be there, Clean wrote off haveing a good time with a few mate...Fingers up to the rest of ye
  35. avatar danbastard
Indeed. It seems to be cool to hate Green Day these days... let's not forget their first 5 albums are great.
  36. avatar I'mDead
I concur. Emo kids into 'American Idiot' is a cool thing, much better than kids being into Kanye West or Pigeon Detectives or Kaiser Chiefs.

The snobbery about Green Day is almost funny - anyone over 30 who likes them is seen as having a mid-life crisis, while anyone under 14 is like, so out of the loop because they've had loads of albums before, yonks ago and stuff.

I'm 35 and love 'em, so bite me.
  37. avatar Jimmy Seagus
I couldn't give two fucks about Green Day or their despicable brand of dirty Converse bubblegum corporate shitepunk (oh, and it's [i:a74cffa95a]way[/i:a74cffa95a] too late to claim that you don't want to be an American Idiot), what's bothering me is the frankly appalling standard of spelling and cunty txtspk on this thread.

    Fucking [i:a74cffa95a] W8D[/i:a74cffa95a] indeed.

    Harrumph.

    My first post!
If you are only accepting Green Day fans that have been alive since their first album, then fans are gonna die out. Im pretty sure the band themselves don't care whether a bunch of old moaners like their new album or not, as they have a huge fanbase. and btw, plenty of teens like ALL of Green days albums, as they are all amazing. What makes your opinion more important?

I've got my tickets, and tbh, i can't wait. (Y)
  40. avatar cmcb
I'd quite like them to play the entire 'International Superhits'. And nothing else. In a smaller venue. For about half the price...

I'm not much of a fan of the last few Green Day albums, but I was won over. The 'show' was fantastic, and the band really did seem to be having a great time. Song-wise, it was a solid set, with lots from Dookie - though I was disappointed they played Going To Pasalacqua in Glasgow the night before, but not in Belfast!
