I have been informed that a man in my local area, who trades in guitars is Selling counterfeit guitars...mostly Fender Telecasters. The word on the street is that the Police are now involved.

How i tie into this is that I'm in the Middle of a part Trade with him.

    What should i do?

hes more than likely flogged on the guitar i gave him as a deposit and what happens if the guitar I@m interested in is Fake?

Legally, you're in a good place to get at least your money back in a small claims court, as you've given payment (in kind, anyway) in good faith. He's liable to criminal charges, too. It would amount to obtaining under false pretenses, or fraud by false representation (since 2006), if you will.

That being said, I'd imagine "good luck" would be the most appropriate sentiment on your chances.
