I would, but they've ripped off ASIWYFA so much that I can barely listen to them anymore.

They played before didn't they, in the pavillion?
Twas before I got interested in them.
  8. avatar my-angel-rocks
Yeah, that was a great gig in the pavilion. About 40 people, pushed right up to the monitors.
  9. avatar clss_act_00
finally the excuse i needed to really listen to their stuff, everything tells me i should love them
  10. avatar ScruffyGoldfish
    yes... yes... and YES!

    My first post!
Just listened to one of their records for first time last night, after years of being told to check them out!
  12. avatar blonderedhead
If I'm not at electric picnic, I'll be here
  13. avatar ShowYourBones
EP ticket bought so I'll have to put up with seeing them in Stradbally. Hopefully their instrumental assault rids the S&A of those pillars.

This is my dream come true! I put two albums on my MP3, and find it's reflective, chilled out vibe really helps my stress levels!
  16. avatar Team Horse
Brilliant news. The Pavilion show was amazing, even though actually seeing the band was impossible unless you were in the front row! The band were stood beside me watching the support acts that night too, very humble guys.

I also went down to Dublin to see them in the tripod the last time they toured, so it's great to have them back in Belfast. :-D

I liked the sarcasm as I'm sure many people will think that these guys sound like asiwyfa...I happen to like both though.
  23. avatar theavenue
No, As I watch you from afar sound like these guys. EITS do it so, so, so much better. Their cds are on constant rotation.
  24. avatar my-angel-rocks
I personally think the only real similarity these days is the lack of vocals (apart from those and so I watch you from afar tracks with vocals and that explosions in the sky track). Some earlier And so I watch you tracks maybe, but not now.

But although I only really think "The Earth Is Not A Cold Dead Place" is their only very good album, I'll still attend as they are much better live than on CD and the smaller venue will suit them better than Ulster Hall or (shudder) Electric Picnic.
  25. avatar Burkey
Heading to this as well, possibility to be the best gig of the year for me, though, even with it being EITS, its still gonna be hard to top ASIWYFA's album launch night.

And I agree that there's little comparison to EITS and ASIWYFA now.

    Nail in the head.

Anyways, if money allows it and nothing else gets in the way, should be going to this.

Agreed on both points, ASIWYFA hold a lot more agression, were as EITS hold a touch of beauty through their music,

And as for ASIWYFA's album launch, i find it hard for that to be topped by anything this year

who is the support for this?
  35. avatar The Limelight
Just back from playing Reading/Leeds festival and gathering up loads of national radio play, A Plastic Rose will be opening for EITS. Can't wait!!
  36. avatar Enixs
Niall from Panama Kings tried hooking my band Team Laser Explosive up with the support but no joy Im afraid =(

I Don't know what support would have worked for this if any at all.

Tracer AMC woulda been a major plus :)

I Love A Plastic Rose though, so I'm sure the gf will too :)

As much as I don't mind A Plastic Rose, its not the support that this gig should have. Tracer would have worked but they're "resting", And So I Watch You From Afar maybe, or Hornby doing his loopy stuff. Kasper Rosa would have been too similar. Maybe RL/VL.

    True.

A singer songwriter or some sorts would have been good.

I think Kasper or Team wouldn't have worked.

Just in case anyone thinks I've left this mortal coil, Cruz will be returning very soon with a new album. Would have loved to support EITS only I've just finished recording the CD.

    ...they'll blow them away.

Kasper Rosa would also have been an apt choice for a support slot I feel.

    8pm Doors

You's did well, I have to say. Always liked you guys, and it worked really well for the gig :) The gf was very impressed :)

Fantastic gig, the only thing that ruined it for me was three random poser girls who kept talking and taking pictures of themselves wondering what members of EITS they would sleep with...:S
