    Makes sense, because it describes my habits. I download or rip stuff I'm interested in (illegally) and buy as much of it on CD as I can afford. I also regularly buy odd tracks or releases not available on CD (such as electronic 12"s)from digital retailers.

    Perhaps a lot of the 'pirates' who also buy music are only buying the odd track here and there, though. It doesn't say whether they are spending any significant money (e.g. on full albums) just that they have at some point paid for music.
