Support is confirmed as THE MINUTES
Dublin trio The Minutes have gigged extensively in Ireland and the UK. Touring with the likes of Albert Hammond Jnr (The Strokes) and The Pigeon Detectives, and playing support to Fountains Of Wayne and Supergrass to name a few. At the end of last year they headlined a sell-out show in The Village, Dublin. The Minutes are currently working with renowned producer Gareth Mannix, whose previous production credits include Republic of Loose and Humanzi. Mannix was influential in helping the band realise their sound in the studio. 'Ukraine' one of the first songs they produced together helped the band establish themselves in the Dublin music scene and was constantly played on local indie stations.
Citing a range of influences including The Beatles, The Strokes, The Raconteurs and Kings of Leon, The Minutes' ability to create energetic rock tunes with a pop sensibility make them a band to treasure.
Last Summer saw the band start the much talked about GIGS IN YOUR GAFF shows , simple concept . They come to your house and play a show . The response was Immense , so this summer expect a lot more shows in peoples front rooms!
2009 will see The Minutes record their debut Album. The band have just returned from a small tour of Canada and North America with shows in NYC, Toronto (CMW 2009) and Boston. Up next is an Irish support tour to Detroit's Von Bondies and the band are also planning an Irish tour of their own to support the release of two new singles over the summer months..
Anyone know any stage times?
