The fantastic Beat Poets[/size:6fc967d251], fresh off a tour of America including shows in New York and at the SXSW festival in Texas, will be making a triumphant return to the Belfast music scene at the end of April.
The Belfast quartet, described by the Irish Daily Star as one of “Belfast’s brightest hopes”, will be headlining the first of the Six Events’ monthly Xposure night at its new location, Auntie Annies.
The Beat Poets’ music, described by NME as, “Blistering, frenzied, blood-stirring rock that weaves its way through U2, the Foos and The Vines”, has earned them a legion of fans in Northern Ireland, not to mention plenty more, further abroad. Their new single “Staring Stars Down” is available on iTunes and they were named as one of the bands on the Napster SXSW Must Hear List.
With the songs these four musicians are capable of producing, and with the positive reviews to match, The Beat Poets look certain to be within reaching distance of bigger and better things.
Support will be from two up and coming bands Jumping Orbit and the Blindi es!! Also, a DJ set courteous of Panama Kings.
With music and drink promotions a plenty[/size:6fc967d251], Auntie Annies looks like the place to be for all rock/alternative music fans on Wednesday 22nd April.
Looking forward to this! :D
