Yes, the 22nd of April for a large gathering of blithering idiots:

Hovercraft Pirates - http://www.myspace.com/hovercraftpirates - Enjoy the occasional tipple

Radio Blast - http://www.myspace.com/radioblastpunk - Listen to too much Screeching Weasel

    Leap for Lenin - http://www.myspace.com/leapforlenin - Punk'n'Roll

Dolbro Dan - http://www.myspace.com/dolbrodan - if he can do to a woman what he can do with a guitar, he would be a very popular ladies man.

For a measly 3 quid, fire on down.

This should be an awesome show. Were playing the next week in there too.

Just checked out the 4 links.

All good stuff, but my fave there was Radio Blast - brilliant tunes, just my sort of thing - totally OTT shouty pop! Best thing I've heard in Belfast so far actually. Actually, all four of those acts were. My kinda night.

Love it! Will try to get down for this.

Is that you from RB Simsie? You say you recorded those in your room? They sound brilliant? How did you get the drusm to sound so great? Did you mic everything up?

I've made an effort at the same thing - our drummer is playing a Roland TD6 and the rest is done via my guitar pedal and Cubase - it's not a patch on your demos though.

You guys remind me of The Yo Yos - dunno if you heard them. But they were one of my fave bands when the existed - pretty sure you'd like them a lot if you're writing stuff like that http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7HcZqtEA43A&feature=related

Yeah it's a continuation really from my other band Numskull http://www.myspace.com/numskullrocks
The drums are actually some software I got and had to program every beat which took longer than recording the actual guitars and vocals. It's just a wee cheapy job with Acid, Beatcraft and a Line 6 toneport. I'm hoping to get my hands on a digi 003 in the next couple of months and a few good mics just for a project studio in the house.

But aye, glad you like'em. It's kinda lacking a bass, but I tried to work around it when i was mastering it.

Yep, I like the Yo-Yo's, got the Uppers and Downers recording, it's great. If you like my kinda stuff, check out http://www.myspace.com/theriptides http://www.myspace.com/geoffuseless and of course The Queers and Screeching Weasel.

Thanks for the comments. Hope you can make it down!

What, is he your erect bellend?
  15. avatar exportsimsie
Yes, he is. If you pull down my jeans and drop my boxers, there he is, sweenie in all his glory where a bellend should be (and only the bellend).

Is that some sort of problem?
  16. avatar Bileofwood
It is a minor problem, but this stuff is very effective.

Was a good gig, I arrived mid way through Dan's set which was fun enough. An enjoyable spectacle.

Leap of Lenin were really good - great songs, great basslines and bass sound, and I really enjoyed the banter between the songs.

Radio Blast were great also, again great banter and very cool segueing between tunes. "I Don't Wanna Grow Up" was my fave song of the evening, I was singing it on the hike home. Much fun.

Sadly I missed the Hovercraft Pirates, I had a meeting this morning at 0930 which I fluffed badly enough as it was, so if I'd stayed even later I'd probably have been fired or something.

    All goood fun.
  31. avatar LeapForLenin
Yo, cheers for the kind words and thanks for coming down. I had a great time though work was hellish this morning
  32. avatar exportsimsie
Well, thank you to all that managed to make it down and thanks to the bands that played and of course Dan, I really do appreciate it.

I had a great time, had a good show and thought everyone was great.

Stay tuned for more idiocy coming soon.
