The Strathern brothers, Owen 20 (vocals / Bass) and Enda 19 (Guitar) met Stephen Leacock 19 (Drums) at school in Magherafelt, South Derry, N.Ireland. The last 6 months has seen them become the most exciting musical prospect to come out of N. Ireland in some years, with industry executives scrambling for their signatures, and them sharing stages across the UK with many of their favourite bands, including The Wombats, One Night Only, Pigeon Detectives and the Enemy as well as playing at the Oxegen, Belsonic and Reading / Leeds Festivals.
General Fiasco have been enjoying early support from BBC Radio 1, recently recording a live session at the famous Maida Vale studios and getting invited to play at the 2008 Reading & Leeds festival as part of the BBC introducing line up. Their appearance at Reading was picked by the NME as one of “the ten hopes for the near future.”
A seven inch single through the hip London based label “Another Music = Another Kitchen” and download of the live favourite “Rebel Get By” is scheduled for November 10th release. Their festive return to Belfast’s Stiff Kitten on December 26th is likely to be one of the highlights of their now incredibly busy touring schedule.
Bangor based hopefuls Two Door Cinema Club provide support on the night, another act who are currently captivating the interests of UK music industry executives, and are set to head out for the debut UK tour in the coming months.

Great stuff - this is next week. Should be a cracker.
why can't stiff kitten put on more than 2 bands?
Stiff Kitten regularly put on more than 2 bands on gig nights. In fact, the majority of local band nights this year have had 3 bands per bill.
On this occasion, there is a club night to take into account afterwards, so any more than 2 bands would not make sense logistically.
yeah i just meant for this night, that's fair enough, still a quality line up.
I'm so going to this .. will there be tickets at the door?
Dougan I demand you move this gig to The Clarence in Sligo!! Fucking family shit keeping me from this one :(
There will be tickets on the door.
And Gerry, i suggest you find a better place to live tbh.
I thought tickets were a fiver! I payed 7 quid today in Zavvi!
Its ok though I don't really mind.
That probably includes a booking fee. Lesson of the day, ticketmaster are cunts
Yeh that's probably with the booking fee, its the same with gigs in the union, you can save a few quid if you can be arsed to walk to the union
