Is what I am hearing. Which will be AMAZING. The buzz in the States about that tour is something else, it's the most anticipated in years.
42 arena dates, playing to over a million people by Christmas.
Chosen from 150 applicants, some of them VERY big names in themselves.
And the possibility of the full world tour after.
How good is that? :D
Well the fuck done boys! I think this should kick the doors clean in for them.
However, it's always been a nailed on certainty that The Answer were going to support DC at some stage - with the Alberts link - but the fact it's a North American tour makes it even more special. The lads are living the dream, granted it's [i:ee6bb51b38]my dream[/i:ee6bb51b38], but I'll forgive them!
I get the impression that while the Albert connection could hardly have hindered them (!), there was real and fierce competition for this slot. Really big names desperate to get in there, also wielding a lot of clout.
It's simply the biggest break a hard rock band could possibly get. America hasn't really had proper exposure to the Answer as yet. I'd be very surprised if they don't go down a storm.
Absolutley Chris - I've no doubt 99% of hard rock bands in the States would have wanted that slot - I always suspected that The Answer would support DC....but their entire North American tour?? - amazing.
I agree with you that they'll make the most of it too.
It is really nice to see a support slot going to precisely the band that most deserve it and can benefit the most from it, rather than a bunch of has-beens or some greenback pet label project without a hope.
