Aw, I was shocked to hear this a couple weeks back.

Fridge (+ Desert Hearts), Hefner (+ Mark & Tanya :D ), Make Up, Salaryman Man + Mina, Clinic, Man or Astroman. Some of the best shows I've seen in Belfast... Usually followed by A.M.180 induced antics on the Vico's dance floor.

Skibunny, forever synonymous with the good-times. Amen.

Man or Astroman was pretty much my first show. Deafening, and I had to walk home and sit in school the next day with crazy ringing in my ear. If only I could have 1999 again...

Skibunny will be much missed! Good luck with the band stuff.

I've lost count of the number of times I've told people about Fridge in Vicos, Desert Hearts with Comet Gain, David Grubbs or that first Trans AM show. It really does read like a list of the best shows I've seen in this city. A good time to say thanks to Mark and Tanya for bringing those wonderful bands over and also for giving us the opportunity to share a stage with them.

Its such a shame! The best indie club I've ever been to. The only place I've been in Belfast where people dance to songs they don't know.

Greatness, it might be hard for me to make it but I'm gonna try!

That Man or Astroman + Zen Guerilla show was just an amazing gig, I remember the way aunty annies was set up that night being really cool 8)

As an aside I think Skibunny in Vico's was one of my first nights out in Belfast when I moved here 10 years ago, I knew everything was going to be cool in this city when I heard Pavement and Sparklehorse pumping out of the pa.

    good luck guys.

Skibunny provided a good percentage of my better nights out in Belfast, it'll be sad to see it go. Every attempt will be made to get down to the last one!

Same here, when I was at uni in England I used to tell all my English mates about it and then spend every Saturday night there when I got home. I'm not a regular any more but it was a massive part of my introduction to the Belfast scene. I've been able to bring those English mates there when they've been over, and it managed to live up to my billing. Sorry to see it go, but it's obviously become a victim of Mark and Tanya's success. And for that, they can be proud.

Best of luck for the future, guys.

Also, I reckon you should finish with the first song ever played at skibunny - or better still, a last hour comprising songs from the old days.

I'll second The Make Up and Man Or Astroman? / Zen Guerilla as some of the best shows ever as well as loads more and some good times at the club...thanks for the memories!

Skibunny and Vicos - what a combination! Magical... Miss those days!

Second what Desus said! Only place in Belfast where people were willing to Dance to everything cos whether obscure or not, the music selection was top notch.

    RIP Skibunny, long live Skibunny!
