    My first post!
Some sort of killfile utility on EZBored would be handy... dunno if the EZBored guys can do this yet though. And an 'ignore thread' bit would be useful. And a way to jump to the last page of a thread without having to click on the first page, scrolling down and clicking on it fom there...

    So there.

    You newbies... :)

Most news-reading software have a facility where you can block articles by author or subject, so to take an absolutely random example, everyone might want to add...

...to their killfile. The world would be a better place, I think you'd agree.

    :)

    oh i geddit.

on a totally unrelated, yet vitally important note:

here, steve, I couldn't get into dna's halflife server last nite, even though the dnagames page said 15/16 peeps online... ptooey!

Half-Life ain't my boggle... :) styx@dnagames.net is the man to speak to about Half-Life...

Have you got the latest patch installed, etc? And all the right maps? You can grab them all from the Files section of the site if you don't.

Tribes 2 is gonna be *the* multiplayer game to end all others anyways... no point in wasting time with Half-Life when you could be sitting, just waiting for it to be released...
  6. avatar fastfude
mucked about with tribes 1 for a bit in work, but had no-one to play with
like the idea of having different vehicles 'n' stuff - adds a whole new game genre to the manic-run-blindly-through-the-castle-pineappling-anything-and-everything-in-path gameplay of quake (aw, remember that?)

    Happy days...

But get online and play some Tribes... the Barrysworld and Freeserve servers are always loaded with people... it's a killer game. UT is another that must be played, but it doesn't quite have the same appeal as Tribes...

Tribes 2 is gonna rock so hard...

    Do you work for DNA?

Steve, ewe can quite easily set the "max number of posts to show on one screen" in yer EZbored profiles,
so that big long threads don't get split across millions of pages - I have mine set to "100" at the moment (only Cecil's threads ever get longer than that...)

ANother nice thing would be a ".sig supression"file,
which automatically removed huge gauche & tasteless purple bandnames from the bottom of people's posts ;-) "listening to the music the machines make, I let my heart break,

Setting it so they all show is just as bad unfortunately... especially on a modem at home...

well I suggest we all go round to British Telecomm and murder them unless they all offer us 500Mbps ADSL connections to our door within the next week. (Not that Micro$hite Wimbows could cope with such data rates anyway, but Linux boxes such as catsweep.feline.org.uk and my ZX Spectrum would be fine....) i'm runnin' win2000 at home now, and I havta say it's getting a bit better. hasn't crashed all fortnight since I installed it, whereas 98 used to fall over each time I sneezed. Bloody fast too and weird fadey-inny-menus too. Anna drop-shadow on the cursor. whee.
  13. avatar feline1
Well, just think how much faster it would run if it *didn't* have fade in menu animations and shadowed cursors and so on... ;-) "listening to the music the machines make, I let my heart break,

    My first post!
Whilst on the subject of the ZX Spectrum, some of you may be interested in visiting my Commodore/Spectrum Ezboard.

If you are feeling nostalgic, pop in and say hi!

You can also advertise this ezboard there in the Spam section!

    "While on the subject"?

    Are you nuts?
    You're a year late :/
  16. avatar fastfude
well you can turn the menu and cursor effects off of course
    :rolleyes

the extra 0.000001% of resources that saves me doesn't really motivate me to do it though!
