Is it possible to get an

@fastfude.com e_mail address? If not, why not?

I did look at this idea about a year ago. There are a coupla companies that offer web-based mail services (kinda like Hotmail or YahooMail) if you host your domain with them, but most were pretty dodgy or just subdomains (i.e. bandname@companyname.fastfude.com) which blows big goats. Getting a proper @fastfude.com would've cost loadsa money.
The alternative was to get aa hosting account with unlimited POP3 accounts, but again costs money (and how!), and also has problems with people's dial-up providers not relaying SMTP mail properly. Confused? Hell yeah. Trust me though, it's not worth it

yeah, you gotta mess with the MX records. not for the faint of heart, and means you can't use the record locally for other mail related stuff.
