Yes as most of you know Led Zeppelin are reforming and playing a gig in 02 Arena with Jason Bonham on drums. As close as its gonna get to the original line up.

Now i have waited for this to happen and seen it only in my dreams now that tickets are unleashed i find you have to enter your name into a ballot, a ballot with 25 million other people and IF you get them they are £150 each.

    Lifes a bitch.

Look, that gig will not be as good as THIS

Well, to be fair, ticketmaster ticket sales are generally a ballet as well but in that system you get through only to find out that some cunt of a scalper/corporate entity has bought them all.

Still, 150quid is a bit steep, I might have scraped together 1.50 to see Led Zep, but not much more to be honest

they are to me the greatest band that ever have been formed but thats a personal view

id love to see em like

    ah well.......1 to 25 million chance :P

See, I thought I'd been missing something, never having really listened to them much, but then my friend put all the albums on a CD and we listened to them back to back, and found we were just skipping through because so many of the songs sounded really bad. *shrug* to each their own.
  6. avatar unplugged
    man it really is! lol

i used to think that too but it grows on you to the point of obsession they really are very deep and youll either love em or hate em.

facinating story behind their whole history even if you aint a fan i urge anyone to read it.
people think winehouse and that prat pete doherty are hellraisers read the zep book and prepare for an eye opener lol
  7. avatar dOUBLEwONDERFUL
Hellraisers have Paulo Nutini as their one of their openers.

no people do. thats why they are never out of the papers

i personally think they are two dickheads

why does every conversation on here result in sarcasm? :)

    anyway

if anyone gets tickets let me sniff them

I've applied for this too, not because I like Led Zep(which I don't cuz they are rubbish) but because I really want to see Foreigner live. If I do get to see them I'll probably leave after the big F
  11. avatar unplugged
i wanna see F too but the zep will melt the stage
  12. avatar rigsyATL
i don't know a huge amount about this reformation, but is it not extremely likely they'll do more shows/a tour?

it's hard to fathom how anyone would stick to the whole 'total one off' when they're offered millions to do a dozen or so gigs in the UK as led zep would be.
  13. avatar greensleevesisgod
It's not foreigner though! Unless Foreigner are reforming for it? Lou Gramm is clearly solo at the minute! Mick jones is the only one left!

I dunno. They really do hate each other so I'd be sceptical of a massive tour to follow. Saying that though, the obligatory big pile 'o cash may sway them.

I saw Page and Plant yeeeeeeaaaaaars ago at Reading and they were utter bobbins so I may stick with my Song Remains the Same dvd.

Really? Balls. Anyone know how to cancel your ticket request on that website?
  16. avatar greensleevesisgod
when you're the lucky winner of the ballot, just write them a polite letter stating your feelings about the matter and that unfortunately you cannot accept the ticket. It's what i'm gonna do.

An ELP reformation would be most excellent and would suit the whole thing alot better.

Pink Floyd turned it down after their one off for Live 8. Or probably more accurately, Roger Waters did.

I think John Paul Jones would be of a similar mind.
  18. avatar dOUBLEwONDERFUL
If I got tickets, I would fly to London and burn the tickets. Fly back and catch the Lost repeat on Sky One.
  19. avatar Dirty Stevie Grizz
Lost is almost as over-rated as Led Zepplin

True, which begs the question - who hate each other more Zep or Floyd?
  25. avatar whipchorus
I don't know about the whole band but last I heard John Bonham can't stand the sight of Syd Barrett.
