Im sure its been asked before but...

Looking to make myself a pedal board that would ideally fit in a standard workmans tool box (no jokes). Unsure of exact dimensions as i havent it here in front of me.

But yep, schematics or advice etc would be most welcome. I generally use boss/marshall pedals. Infact a design that would hold these in places and then i could have my volume and wah separate would be ideal. Fairly robust too as i kick pretty hard on them at times.

I tend to have everything in one long line rather than split in 2 levels.

    Thanks

There are some good websites that you can check out.

    http://www.playlikeapro.com/pedalboards.htm

The forum on guitargeek.com is usually a good place to ask general questions.

I toyed with the idea of building one, then just got a pedaltrain pro. Absolute class piece of kit. Sturdy as. Just weighed a tonne cuz I got it with the flightcase.

I think you can get a warwick rockcase pedal board for about 65 quid delivered on thomann, doesn't look too bad for the money too. You could also probably use it for carrying about any small synths too.

    dya have many pedals?

    i bought a tool/utility case from B&Q...£16 i think

then i cut a piece of conti board/wood to fit inside it....then velcro'd my pedals to it

i can just life the board in and out

yup im using the same kinda thing Stephen, cept mine was £8 and came with a free mini tool box :D

For live use i have 4 pedals at the moment. All boss sized.

Yep that was kinda my plan. Do you just get double sided velcro from B&Q or the like?

Bear in mind, i am probably the most clumspy, non practical guy in the world. So is it eaasy?

One of these days somebody front of stage is gonna get a heavy block of metal kicked into their face, so how well does it hold them?

Yeah i got the velcro in Craftworld...bloody expensive it is too

It holds brilliantly, in fact ya cant get it off yer pedals without a battle

The only issue i have/had is the wood i attached them to, ya need to put something on the bottom or else it slides everywhere

Those wee rubber stick on feet things you can get to stop your furniture from scrapping wood floors might do the job?

Looks like a bit of scrap wood of me dads, a saw, some sandpaper and an arts and crafts trip for me then. And some bandages.

    Thanks for the advice.

Added a Nano Bassballs from Electro Harmonix and a Behringer Slow Motion. :) Nearly went further but had to restrain myself. Drunk in charge of a credit card & net connection, dangerous...
