"Hurt" by NIN. No, wait...

Is this a serious question? As in, is "drakeguild" presently swinging from his wardrobe with a USB cable round his neck?...

"Don't Dwell" by 311, it's about the least depressing song in the world. Or anything off "City" by Strapping Young Lad.

If you're gonna kill yourself, and do it properly, why would you bother picking a song to change your mind? Not being cold about it, just more of a realist.

One of those situations where you spend so long rifling through your CD collection that the dastardly deed is never done.

Definitely DO NOT listen to http://www.lyricsondemand.com/s/sodstormtroopersofdeathlyrics/killyourselflyrics.html

There's a logical discrepancy there I think, Osburger...

Anyway. Listening to music is a valid way to remove depression possibly up and unto the very pinnacle of which might cause a person to make the Ultimate Decision. However I think cheerful music when you're depressed is only likely to seriously piss you off, and therefore recommend highly Tom Waits' "Misery Is The River of The World" - if he has managed not to reach for the cheesegrater, you can surely avoid it also.

Alternatively, anything by Volvograd.

Put it another way...

Yer in a perfectly happy mood.
All is well with the world.
The tweety-birds are singing, and [i:916007a580]MY[/i:916007a580], isn't the sky a particularly wonderful shade of blue today.

What song do you hear that makes you go: "That's it. The end."
?

Coldplay "Yellow". Or that Coldplay one that goes "aaaaooow naaoooo, wots this?". Or that Coldplay one.. yeah, you know what I'm saying.

I'd say anything Rolph Harris. Who could possibly want to die knowing that's the last thing they heard?

R.E.M - everybody hurts. Duh, it's saved thousands of lives since the early nineties. Bill Berry should be given a nobel peace prize or at least a sainthood (Although an R.E.M fan this is not anywhere near my top 20 of favourite R.E.M songs).

Strange, that... most R.E.M. songs make me [i:1faab36db4]want [/i:1faab36db4]to end the farce.

Just on that REM notion:

Bottle of pills in my hand, suicide note in my hand, tears in my eyes, turns on radio...Gerry Anderson introducing,
"REM, Its the end of the world as we know it"

You have to do a wee dance when you hear that song, and you certainly can't dance when you're dead!

Too many to pick one.

Huey Lewis and the News - Power of Love
Autograph - Turn up the Radio
Prince - Sign O the times
Prince - Little red corvette
Rush - Red Barchetta
Jethro Tull - Aqualung
Queen - Don't stop me now
ELP - The Sheriff
ELP - Fanfare for a common man
Moody Blues - Nights in white satin

Any of these will stop me from killing myself.

Sorry this made me laugh.

But yes, R.E.M - apart from their early 90's stuff - where essentially a dance minded alternative band, pop song 89 and can't get there from here are some of the happyiest songs that I know of.
23. avatar [misterbillz]
i'm not a fan of their other stuff but GOOD CHARLOTTE'S HOLD ON is unbelievable!

Metallica/Diamond Head - "Its Electric" [either bands version]
Def Leppard - "Rocks Off" or "Rock Brigade"
Megadeth - "My Last Words"
Skid Row - anything off the first 2 albums.
Bad Religon - "I Wanna Conquer The World"
Suidical Tendencies - "You Can't Bring Me Down"
Daft Punk - "Robot Rock" - just makes me wanna dance!

[quote:9398994bc3]Moody Blues - Nights in white satin[/quote:9398994bc3]

love that song, but i would have the opposite effect on me.
