TONE LOC - FUNKY COLD MEDINA (ISLAND)
heh heh class, havent heard that in years!
Does anyone know if there are two bands called the Remains of Youth? According to this post a song called "Sort it Out" was played on atl last night by the "remains of youth". I can not remember recording a song by that name, or sending a demo to atl for that matter
....i don't get the joke?
i have a remains of youth CD in front of me (and no, you didn't send it to me) which i liked, so i played a track.
the tracklisting says
1. sort it out
2. stop gap
3. set your sights
i played track one. and read out the name as it was on the CD.
with hilarious consequences, clearly!
This isn't specific to ATL at all but general to a lot of BBC radio on demand and occurred again after trying to listen to some of last night's stuff - I really, really wish there was a rewind feature on that player, and a better way of searching than in 5/15 minute increments. It makes the whole process a lot more cumbersome than it should be. Grumble.
it's a bollix all right, melts my head.
hey thats excellent rigsy. Just found out one of the guys passed a cd on to you. had no idea. Thanks for playing it. Much appreciated :D
Seems to make no sense at all - you get t'telly online in either Realplayer of Windows Media and you can scroll through the whole thing really easily. Radio should be much easier, one would have thought. Hi-ho.
The lack of a rewind of any sort defies explaination, to my tiny mind at least.
whats the story with the track title then?!
'sort it out' is what it says on my CD...
haha i really don't know man. Must have been a last minute thing from one of the guys. Think its called Limited but Loaded now. But it really doesnt mater we appreciate the air time all the same. Just was a tad surprised when i saw your play list up there. Sorry for the confusion.

Cheers for that, and thanks for the props!
the story is Gareth from Remains of Youth gave me the CD to give to you, and couldnt remember the names of the tracks, so just made them up and then I gave you the CD!!
He must have forgot to tell the other guys he renamed them!
I am glad to see a piece on the NI accent, not compulsorily having to involve the TPO.
Time's are changin indeed :)
Thanks for clearing that up Julianne. Are CODA doing an ATL session anytime soon?
"I am glad to see a piece on the NI accent, not compulsorily having to involve the TPO."
Eh?! But you were in it! :D
(a sterling performance, I might add :P )
Coda are going to be in session very soon.
February was an insane month for all of us, we're kind of catching up. But being kept very VERY busy, which is a good thing, of course.
I can concur with Chris that Anto, you were indeed on it!!!
the NI accent package without the TPO sadly remains a distant dream...
cheers though. Black Eye sounded well.
There should have been a translator in that piece, converting all the Norn Iron interviews into English in a Mr Cholmondeley-Warner style :-D
"I say Grayson, them posties are all right."
"Nonsense, Mr Cholmondeley-Warner. Such layabouts and lackies spread cholera and should be shipped back to Foreign."
"I must disagree. Your mother."
"Mater? What of the old horse? More gin?"

Don't worry, their song titles change several times during each performance, never mind when CDs are passed about!
Oh aye that must have been the wee chat I had with Ciaran.
Here but you playing our music and not submitting it in the playlist, tut tut? I'll get big Seamy round from the IMRO's to but the squeeze on yeez! 8)
just for the record, i typed that up before i recieved *all* the music used in the features.../but rest assured every NOTE played on the show has been accounted for in the actual paperwork :-D
I'm onto your game Mr. "Riggs" oh yes :)
Just realised my mix got a mention here - thanks guys www.djkaizen.com/kaizen-atl.mp3 if you want a copy
